Sedona is mostly a destination for people who like to explore during the day. Visitors tend to use their time here to get outside, browse art galleries, or possibly treat themselves to a relaxing spa day or wellness retreat. However, it is also easy to have fun in Sedona once darkness falls. If you are night owl, you’ll find plenty of unique and worthwhile ways to keep the fun going once all the early birds have gone to bed. Here are our tips for the perfect night on the town in Sedona.
After treating yourself to a delicious dinner at one of Sedona’s many world-class restaurants, be sure to save a little room for drinks and dessert. There are many great places in town that specialize in mouth-watering desserts and fine wines or cocktails. Mariposa is our go-to spot for Latin-inspired tapas, wine, and dessert. For drinks, they serve port wines, sherry, and madeira. Pair your drink with one of their yummy desserts like prickly pear cheesecake, maple coconut flan, tres leches torte, and churros.
The Saltrock Sedona Kitchen is famous for their incredible house margaritas. You can stick with the classic margarita or get adventurous and try them with passion fruit, jalapeno, or maple syrup and orange. They also serve a variety of wines, whiskeys, spirits, and one-of-a-kind house cocktails like the Rising Sun and Midnight Canyon. The Hudson serves craft cocktails in a trendy, industrial chic setting with incredible views and inspired American cuisine. Dessert options include a deconstructed banana cream pie, chocolate chunk avalanche, and cherry cobbler.
If you like live music, you’ll find many excellent options in Sedona. At the Sound Bites Grill, you’ll hear everything: jazz, rock, blues, soul, folk, Latin, Flamenco. The list goes on. Arrive early to enjoy a delicious meal on their back porch with incredible red rock views. Their cocktail list is pretty stellar too. Vino de Sedona serves tapas, fine wine, and craft beer with live music performed by some of the best local musicians every day. Check out their events calendar to see what is coming up while you’re here. For a laidback good time, head to Mooney’s Irish Pub. They serve over 300 drink items, including their own house IPA, as well pub classics like shepherd's pie and bangers and mash. You’ll also find pizza, pasta, and beer on the menu. Live music happens every Friday and Saturday. There is also karaoke on Thursdays if you are feeling particularly adventurous.
